Acta Myologica is a four-monthly journal that publishes articles related to research in and the practice of primary myopathies, cardiomyopathies and neuromyopathies, including observational studies, clinical trials, epidemiology, health services and outcomes studies, and advances in applied (translational) and basic research. Acta Myologica is the oldest international myology journal, with its first issue published in June 1982 with the name of Cardiomyology. At present, it is the official journal of the AIM (Associazione Italiana di Miologia) and of the Mediterranean Society of Myology. It has an SJR impact factor of 0,385.
