Ardeola: International Journal of Ornithology publishes original research on all fields of ornithology and ornithological news. A section on Ornithological News is published in Spanish and summarises noteworthy Recent Ornithological Observations in Spain. It also includes the annual report of the Rarities Committee of the Spanish Ornithological Society (CR-SEO/BirdLife). Book reviews and summaries of recent PhD-Dissertations presented at Spanish universities are also published on-line. It has an SJR impact factor of 0,433.
